Forest Research Institute EIACP (Environmental Information, Awareness, Capacity Building and Livelihood Programme) Resource Partner on Forestry and Forest Related Livelihoods serves as a one-stop platform for dissemination of environmental information, informed policy formulation on various facets of the environment, and facilitation of alternate livelihoods through green skilling. The Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) campaign is being celebrated from September 15th to October 2nd this year under the joint aegis of DDWS and MoHUA for undertaking shramdaan activities aiming to generate jan andolan through community participation, to provide impetus on the implementation of SBM, to disseminate the importance of a sampoorna swachh village, to reinforce the concept of sanitation as everyone’s business, and as a prelude for the Swachh Bharat Diwas (2nd October) with nationwide participation.
To participate in Swachhta Hi Seva, the Forest Research Institute EIACP Resource Partner on “Forestry and Forest related Livelihoods” along with the students of DD College conducted a Cleanliness Drive on September 30, 2023.
The event started with the “Introdution to EIACP (Environmental Information, Awareness, Capacity Building and Livelihood Programme) and then the importance of Shramdhan for keeping our Bharat Garbage Free. The Swachhta Drive was performed on the premises of the Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple, and awareness was also spread by our team and the students of DD College among the general public. Lastly, the cleanliness drives end with all participants taking the pledge for the Swachhta Hi Seva.”
