Two days exhibition setup during National Conclave on Climate Change at Lucknow

Report:

An exhibition stall was setup to display LiFE related products where we display our Green Skill Training Program Bamboo Products developed by Trainees at Forest Research Institute.

Sh. Mohit Kashyap, Sh. Shashaank Acharya and Sh. Vipul Bisht assembled and collected all the GSDP Bampoo Products with poster on LiFE and climate change. All three officials left the dehradun field station at around 6:30 pm on bus. We reached Lucknow at 8:00 am and later on venue i.e., Indira Gandhi Parishthan at 11:00 am.

We were welcomed by Sh. Sachin Oli, Environmental conultant, Department of Environment Secretariat, Lucknow and an exhibition stall was allotted to us. The exhibition stall was arranged by us and later inspected by UP CM Security and also a trial session was run.

On Next day 10-04-2023, early morning at around 10:00 AM our stall was visited by Shri Yogi Adityanath, Hon’ble CM of Uttar Pradesh and Shri Bhupinder Yadav, Hon’ble Union Minister MoEF&CC. In the afternoon session the stall was visited by various officials and school/college students. 

Next day i.e. on 11-04-2023, Shri Ashwini Kumar Choubey, State Minister MoEF&CC, Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena, State Minister MoEF&CC and Shri Subodh Uniyal, Hon’ble Forest Minister of Uttarakhand visited our exhibition stall and appreciated the work done and encouraged to do such skill programmes in the future.

Major inputs from the visiting session are as follows:

·         Getting to know about various environment friendly and reusable products.

·         Persons who visited our stalls were keenly interested in our Ringal products which were made by trainees in Green Skill Development Programme which promotes initiatives of Mission LiFE.

·         Exploring opportunities for people in livelihood development through Green Skill Development.

·         These products are environment friendly and sustainable unlike other harmful products available in the market presently.

·         Promoting various daily use products that are eco-friendly and must replace the harmful plastic products.

·         Disseminating knowledge on skill required to develop and use such products on large scale which will replace the other harmful materials and will be beneficial in climate change issues in the long run.

The visitors to the stall express their interest in Green Skill Development and adopting environment friendly lifestyle and took a pledge to be responsible citizens of India and adopt the Lifestyle for Environment and become a pro planet people.

The exhibition comes to an end at around 6:00 PM and thereafter the stall was closed.
